Rainier Sweater

Pattern: Rainier Sweater by Kate Gagnon Osborn

Size: Custom size between 3 and 4; size 4 sleeves (see mods below)

Yarn: Kelbourne Woolens Scout (colors: Gray Heather & Charcoal Heather)

Needle size: US 4 & US 6

Mods: I knit this in a Laura McDougal class so the sweater is custom fit. Basically I knit size 4 sleeves and a custom 44 in. circumference body (between size 3 and 4), then decreased down to a size 3 for the yoke. I shortened the sleeves by 2 inches (making 16 in. sleeves), shortened the body by about 5 inches (knitting about a 12 in. length from hem to underarm), omitted several rows of the bottom body chart, added short rows at the back of the neck, and knitted a fold-over crew neck collar (3 inches before folding).

Body measurements: bust 38 inches, waist 31 inches, hip 43 inches

Height: 5 feet 7 inches
