Kordy Sweater

Pattern: Kordy Sweater by Kiyomi Burgin and Sachiko Burgin

Size: 3, with mods (see below)

Yarn: Stonehedge Fiber Mill Shepherd’s Wool Worsted (colors: sage, roasted pumpkin, and storm); Gústa Knitting Mosa Mjúkull (color: white marl)

Needle size: US 7, 8, & 9

Mods: I knit this in a Laura McDougal class so the sweater is custom fit. I knit a size 3 (42 in. bust) but ended up with slightly smaller gauge in my FO than I had in my swatch, so instead of a 42 in. bust I ended up with a 39 in. bust for about 1-2 inches of positive ease. Instead of tapering the sleeves as the pattern suggests, I made balloon/bishop sleeves by knitting straight sleeves (no decreases), then decreased before starting the sleeve ribbing.

Body measurements: bust 38 inches, waist 31 inches, hip 43 inches
